1. BMW Fxx series DDE8 Tricore Bootloader
– IROM 4MB R/W/CHK
– EEPROM 128kb R/W/CHK
Supported Engine models:

Before allowing operations by Bootloader the ECU must be unlocked. The ECU must be sent to a MMS Service Point and it will be sent back to the customer on the same day by UPS Express. For details consult our MMS Helpdesk Service Requests section.

OBD UNLOCK
Now you can write MOD files to VAG cars without performing TPROT OFF by Bootloader.
After performing OBD UNLOCK you can write MOD files in any TPROT5-11 ECU.
OBD READ ENABLED
After performing OBD unlock you can also READ (actually, not virtually read) maps from previously protected ECUs (for example EDC17CP44, C54, C64, MED17.x etc).
Once you have performed OBD UNLOCK you can write MOD files by OBD multiple times without increasing the flash counter. It will always remain the same as before writing the first MOD file.
You can restore your ECU or update it directly by OBD.
Just use a FRF or ODX format file and X17 will upload it to your ECU.
